Butler Church of the Nazarene

Butler Church of the Nazarene, 4410 Oakdale Road and Route 68, will have Chrisann Green providing the special music Sunday.

Christ Community United Methodist

Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, has a farewell potluck dinner for Pastor Bruce and Laurie. at noon Sunday. Take a side dish to share. An entree, drinks and dessert will be provided. No gifts please.

The First English Lutheran Church community dinner work team meets at 4 p.m. Monday.

The Men’s Fellowship group meet 6:30 a.m. Wednesday

The quilters meet at 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Community Life

Community Life Church meets at 1104 Pittsburgh Pike Road.

A water baptism and picnic will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Valley Beach in Moraine State Park. The rain date is June 21st.

Concord Presbyterian

Concord Presbyterian Church, 625 Hooker Road, West Sunbury, will have combined 9:30 a.m. Sunday worship services with North Washington Presbyterian at Concord during June.

Covenant Presbyterian

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 230 E. Jefferson St., has a 10 a.m. Sunday worship service with music from Lars Morrison on the flute and Peggy McGuirk on the piano. There will be a fellowship gathering following the service.

East Butler

East Butler Presbyterian Church, Ninth and Randolph streets, will not have Sunday worship at the East Butler location but will join North Butler Church for a 10:30 a.m. joint outdoor Sunday worship service.

Faith United Presbyterian

The deacons of Faith United Presbyterian Church, 1329 N. Main St. Ext., will recognize the men of the congregation with chocolate crosses in honor of Father’s Day at the Sunday worship service.

During the week, session meets at 7 p.m. Monday, and the AA group meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

WW meets at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday, at 10 a.m. June 20 and at 8:30 a.m. June 22.

First Baptist

First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., will have 9:45 a.m. Sunday school classes, an 11 a.m. Sunday worship service followed by a noon luncheon and a 1:15 p.m. worship service.

First English Lutheran

The 10 a.m. Sunday worship service at First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will include Holy Communion.

The finance committee meets at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Sign up for the Lutherlyn Day Camp that runs June 24 to 28 for children entering first through sixth grade at First English June 24 to 28. Students must register and complete a Lutherlyn medical form before attending. Contact the church office at 724-283-2378 or Sharon Miller at 724-822-9576.

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran

Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church, 123 E. Diamond St., celebrates Holy Communion at its 10 a.m. Sunday worship service.

Members of Grace @ Calvary will lead the 11 a.m. Monday and Tuesday worship services at LIFE Butler County, 231 W. Diamond St., with the adult day program participants. Meet at the church by 10:40 a.m. each day.

Grace’s Closet, a free clothing bank, is open 5 to 7 p.m. June 20. No proof of income is required. Each family may fill one large bag.

Graceway

Graceway meets each Sunday for a 10 a.m. worship service at the Center Township Elementary School on Mercer Road.

Ernie Taylor and Michelle Huff provide the music this Sunday.

There will be an emphasis on Father’s Day and special recognition for all fathers at the Sunday service.

Hill United Presbyterian

There will be no fellowship hour after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship service at Hill United Presbyterian Church, 501 Second St., because of Father’s Day.

North Butler

North Butler Presbyterian Church, 137 N. Butler Church Road, Chicora, will have a 10:30 a.m. Sunday outdoor worship service (under tents). Music is by the quartet Four for Christ.

Beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday, the church welcomes the community for its annual picnic and car show, concluding with fireworks.

St. Luke’s Lutheran

St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 310 W. Main St., Saxonburg, invites everyone to “Popcorn, Pajamas, & Mary Poppins” at 6 p.m. Friday in Centennial Hall. Take friends, blankets, pillows. The summer schedule begins Sunday with worship at 8:15 a.m. and Communion worship at 10 a.m. Fathers will be honored at both services.

The food bank volunteers meet at 6 p.m. Monday.

For Mingle on Main, St. Luke’s will feature a stained glass tour and organ medley. Tours begin at 6 and 7 p.m. June 20.

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran

St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., has changed the time of Saturday’s worship service to 5 p.m.

Adult Sunday school is at 9 a.m. Children’s Church is 10:15 a.m. Sunday.

There are two Sunday worship services at 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

Confirmation takes place at the 10:15 a.m. Sunday service. A reception will follow in the chapel.

Trinity Lutheran

Trinity Lutheran Church, 120 Sunset Drive, Center Township, will have worship with healing at all services this weekend.

The church council meets at 7 p.m. Monday.

The health and wellness committee meets at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Holden evening prayer will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Ladies quilting will meet at 1 p.m. June 20.

Trinity Presbyterian

Trinity Presbyterian Church, 107 Staley Ave., Butler Township, will have 10 a.m. Sunday worship services as it moves to summer hours.

The quilting/Bible study group meets at 9 a.m. Mondays at the church. Bible study will be at 8:30 a.m. at Valley Dairy and at 7 p.m. at the church Thursdays.

VBS volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. Saturday.
