Edna B. Hosek

Edna B. Hosek, 96, of Zelienople passed away on Wednesday while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community.

Born March 17, 1922, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Joseph B. Schaefers and Rose Shaffer Schaefers.

Edna was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a member of the Wildwood congregation.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Edna was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Edna leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Karen (Kevin) Crispeno of Chandler, Ariz., Paul Hosek of Freedom, and Phyllis (Eric) Paylo of Zelienople; her grandchildren, Erick (Trina) Dixon, Todd (Desiree) Dixon and Annette (Michael) Memcek; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey J. Hosek, who passed away on Nov. 19, 1994; four brothers; and three sisters.

HOSEK — A memorial service will be held later for Edna B. Hosek, who died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019.Arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
