CRANBERRY TWP — District Judge David Kovach recently heard the following cases.

Christopher B. Carter, 31, of Pittsburgh waived to court charges of forgery, counterfeit access device, bad checks, theft by deception or false impression, and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed Jan. 3 by Cranberry Township police.

Christopher Belch, 41, of Pittsburgh waived to court charges of forgery, counterfeit access device, bad checks, theft by deception or false impression, and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed Jan. 3 by Cranberry Township police.

Christina M. Grill, 34, of Ashtabula, Ohio, waived to court charges of receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered, and driving while suspended. Charges were filed Jan. 24 by Cranberry Township police.

Nathan K. Aleva, 20, of Cranberry Township waived to court charges of DUI: controlled substance schedule 1 first offense, DUI: controlled substance impaired ability first offense, driving without a license, and careless driving. Charges were filed Dec. 11 by Cranberry Township police.

Courtney R. Shaffer, 22, of Evans City waived to court charges of DUI: general impairment of driving safely first offense, DUI: highest rate of alcohol and disregarding traffic lanes. Charges were filed Dec. 19 by Cranberry Township police.

Terry R. Johnson, 37, of Cranberry Township was held for court on charges of use/possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Charges were filed Dec. 11 by Cranberry Township police.

Jacob P. Finley, 39, of Baden waived for court charges of fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, DUI: general impairment of driving safely, DUI: highest rate of alcohol, accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property, driving while BAC .02 or greater while license is suspended, reckless driving and disregarding a traffic lane. Charges were filed Oct. 16 by Cranberry Township police.

Michael V. Bishop, 36, of Elizabethtown was held for court on charges of possession of a controlled substance by a person not registered and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges were filed Dec. 11 by Cranberry Township police.

Sung Hong, 77, of Gibsonia waived to court three charges of acquiring or obtaining possession of a controlled substance by misrepresentation. Charges were filed Feb. 1 by the Office of the Attorney General.

Paul J. Berzonski, 26, of Valencia waived to court charges of accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and following too closely. A charge of driving without a license was dismissed. Charges were filed Oct. 6 by Evans City/Seven Fields Regional police.

Ryan Edwards, 26, of Gibsonia waived to court charges of DUI: general impairment of driving safely first offense, DUI: highest rate of alcohol, and no headlights. Charges were filed Dec. 18 by Cranberry Township police.

Ashley Hysell, 32, of Ellwood City waived to court charges of retail theft, marijuana possession small amount for personal use and use/possession of drug paraphernalia. A felony charge of receiving stolen property was changed to a misdemeanor charge of receiving stolen property. Charges were filed Dec. 6 by Cranberry Township police.

Carl J. Gole Jr., 30, of Pittsburgh waived to court charges of retail theft taking merchandise and receiving stolen property. Charges were filed Dec. 19 by Cranberry Township police.

Anthony W. Bland, 49, of Mars waived to court charges of DUI: general impairment of driving safely first offense and restrictions on alcoholic beverages. Charges of DUI: highest rate of alcohol first offense, DUI: controlled substance or metabolite first offense, and DUI: controlled substance combination alcohol/drugs first offense were withdrawn. Charges were filed Sept. 5 by Evans City/Seven Fields Regional police.

David W. Lohr, 51, of Cranberry Township was held for court on charges of aggravated assault by a vehicle while DUI, DUI: highest rate of alcohol first offense, DUI: general impairment of driving safely, reckless driving, homicide by vehicle while DUI, homicide by vehicle, aggravated assault by vehicle, careless driving and passing left of a pedacycle. A charge of criminal homicide was dismissed. Charges were filed Dec. 27 by Cranberry Township police.
