Marching backward
Regarding “Trump seeks to gut climate studies, boost fossil fuel use” (Feb. 14, Page 7).
For someone who seems enthralled with the idea of a parade in Washington this summer, cutting the budget for climate change research and communication and using those savings to promote the use of fossil fuels is a perfect example of marching backward.
We cannot let Congress become lemmings falling off the cliff. I urge everyone to contact U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly and Sens. Bob Casey and Pat Toomey, letting them know that actions to combat climate change are essential now. Otherwise, our children and grandchildren will live in a world that we will have allowed to happen and will ask us why we didn’t do enough.
