Vacation Bible schools

The following churches have announced dates for vacation Bible schools:

St. John’s Reformed Church, 494 Evans City Road, will host “Maker Fun Factory” from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Monday to Friday. It is for children age 3 and older, and it is free. Snacks will be provided. Parents’ night will be Friday. T-shirts will be available to purchase. For more information or to register, call 724-482-2740.

First English Lutheran Church, 241 N. Main St., will offer “Water U Doing Jesus?” from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday to Friday. To register, call 724-283-2378 or email sharonfelc@zoominternet.net.

Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road, Valencia, will host “Fit with Faith” from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Monday to Friday. A snack will be provided. To register, visit gladerunchurch.org or register Monday.

Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury, will offer “All Aboard for Noah’s Ark” as a family Bible school for all ages from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 24. Take a brown bag lunch. There also will be a program and potluck picnic after worship on June 25. To register, call 724-282-4578 and leave a message.

Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church, 390 Frazier Road, Saxonburg, will have “Passport to Peru” from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 25 to 29 for children age 5 to sixth grade. It is free with registration at the door. For more information, call 724-352-2400.

Summit Presbyterian Church will hold “Maker Fun Factory: Created by God, Built for a Purpose” from 5:50 to 8:30 p.m. June 25 to 29 at the Christian Community Outreach building, 650 Saxonburg Road. It is for children age 3 to those who have completed fifth grade. It is free. St. Mark’s Lutheran Church NALC, 201 W. Jefferson St., will offer “A Mighty Fortress” for children age 2 and older from 6 to 8:30 p.m. June 25 to 28. Enter at the center door from the parking lot. It is free. A light dinner will be available at 5:30 p.m. There also will be a family Bible school picnic June 29 at the Masonic Shelter at Alameda Park, 184 Alameda Park Road. Announcements of vacation Bible schools should be received by the Community Department no later than two weeks in advance of the event. Entries should include the name and phone number of the person providing the information and be sent to Community, Butler Eagle, P.O. Box 271, Butler, PA 16003, or community@butlereagle.com.
