State Police, Mercer10:16 a.m. March 19 — Jared C. Pears, 37, of Fredonia was charged with theft after allegedly placing lower priced bar code stickers on three items: a baby car seat, diaper bag and baby bath to pay less than the items’ $140 value at the Pine Township Walmart. The replacement stickers totaled $2.32 when Pears went through a self-checkout line.March 12 — An unknown person entered multiple Kwik Fill convenience stores, including the one on West Main Street Extension in Pine Township, on March 11 and 12 and bought more than $3,700 worth of items with possible fraudulent bank cards.
Bureau of Liquor Control EnforcementFriday — The Paul W. Wood VFW Post 7840 on Oneida Valley Road in Cherry Valley was cited for an alleged gambling/lotteries violation on Jan. 21.
