ERIE — Slippery Rock University's men's basketball team dropped an 88-73 decision to Mercyhurst in the first round of the PSAC Tournament Monday night.

The loss ended The Rock's season.

SRU trailed just 34-32 at halftime, but the Lakers opened the second half with a 23-9 run.

Naquil Jones led SRU with 19 points, Jordan Marrow had 17 and George Chase 16.

The Rock (14-15) finished with a losing record for the first time in head coach Kevin Reynolds' nine seasons with the program.
