Charles “Chuck” J. Hilliard Jr.

Charles “Chuck” J. Hilliard Jr., 47, of Butler passed away Thursday at his home.

He was born Dec. 23, 1968, in Butler, the son of the late Charles Joseph Hilliard and Florence L. (Grossman) Hilliard of Butler.

Chuck was an avid musician who enjoyed playing his guitar. Chuck was a devoted father who enjoyed fishing, hiking and spending time his family. He was employed by McDonald’s at Butler Crossing and Tanglewood as a maintenance man.

Surviving are his mother; two sons, Kyle Hilliard and Peyton Hilliard, both of Boyers; three sisters, Helen (John) Lingenfelter of Lyndora, Cathy Hilliard of Butler and Becky (Terry) Williams of North Carolina; and his brother, Dan (Kristen) Hilliard of Butler; his best friend, John Whittington of Lyndora; several nieces and nephews; his great-nieces and great-nephew; and his former wife, Cheryl Schoeffel of Boyers.

He was preceded in death by his father.

HILLIARD — Friends of Charles “Chuck” J. Hilliard Jr., who died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will be at the South Cemetery in Butler.
