David C. Yoakum

David C. Yoakum, 73, of Bakerstown passed away Tuesday.

He was the beloved husband for 43 years of Joann Nath Yoakum.

He was the devoted father of Thomas F. (Lori) Kennedy of Mars, Timothy C. Yoakum of Butler, Deborah L. (George) Frishkorn of Evans City and the late Mary K. Yoakum; the brother of James M. (Barbara) Yoakum of Butler and the late Larry W. (Dolores) Yoakum and Mary Lyvonne Coddington; and the dear grandfather of Katrina, Jessica, Deanna, Ashley, Matt, Mike, Kaylyn, Greg, Shannon and Jared.

He also is survived by six great-grandchildren and his beloved Yorkshire terriers, Cinnamon and the late Maggie.

David worked for North Pittsburgh Telephone Company for 32 years, retiring as an engineer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a loving husband and father.

YOAKUM — The family of David C. Yoakum, who died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.Please offer condolences at www.schellhaasfh.com.
