Shirley and Robert McCandless

Robert W. and Shirley A. McCandless of Renfrew celebrated 55 years of marriage with a family dinner at Old Faithful Snow Lodge in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

McCandless married the former Shirley A. Kline on Sept. 16, 1961, at Butler Free Methodist Church.

They have a son, Robert W. McCandless II of Renfrew.

McCandless was a bricklayer in the melt shop of Armco Steelworks. He retired in 1998.

Mrs. McCandless is a housewife.

The McCandlesses are members of Community Alliance Church in Butler.

They enjoy family functions and traveling with family and friends. They also enjoy camping and bowling in the Armco and Casino leagues.
