Claude O. “Bucky” Yetter Jr.

Claude O. “Bucky” Yetter Jr.

Claude O. “Bucky” Yetter Jr., 86, of Sun City, Ariz., formerly of Butler Township, passed away Aug. 19.

We are proud of his volunteer work at the General Richard Butler Vagabonds, where he drove a bus hundreds of miles and called bingo for years at the Lyndora Vagabond hall, his service to our country in the Korean War, his help with Meals on Wheels through the First English Lutheran Church and his work for 31 years at the Butler Eagle, where he was instrumental with the publication of the first color picture for the paper.

We loved his sense of humor and the love he showed his wife, Eleanor “Red” Yetter, his children, Carol, Tracy, Scott and Brad and their spouses, Debbie, Chuck, Cheryl and Susan.

His grandchildren enjoyed his paper airplanes, disappearing coin acts and his shrinking arm trick. His neighbors could always count on his cheerful smile and willingness to help out in any way he could.

Bucky enjoyed traveling around the world and across all 50 states with Red. He was a devoted Pittsburgh sports fan, and he could watch and enjoy any sport for hours at a time. He also loved hamburgers, peanut butter crackers, coffee soup and Red's pie with a good cup of coffee.

We will dearly miss him.

YETTER — As per his wishes, there will be a private memorial for the immediate family only for Claude “Bucky” Yetter, who died Friday, Aug. 19, 2016.
