Constance J. “Connie” (Hindman) Campbell

Constance J. “Connie” (Hindman) Campbell, 79, of Butler passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born July 27, 1937, in Corsica, Pa., to the late Wayne A. Hindman and M. Arlene (Oakes) Hindman of Butler.

Connie worked as a field manager for 40 years at National Opinion Research Center, before retiring in 2014. She graduated summa cum laude from Penn State University, receiving her bachelor's degree in hotel administration.

Connie was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Butler. She was a 30-year member and past president of the Oak Hills Garden Club and also a member of the SpitSlicers Knitting Group. She and her husband were also founding members of the Butler Valley Sports Car Club. Connie enjoyed gardening and especially loved her grandchildren. .

Connie is survived by her loving spouse of 58 years, Jon W. Campbell, who she married June 14, 1958; three daughters, Tracy Accardi and her husband, Ken, of Boston, Mass., Jenny Clark and her husband, Homer, of Butler, and Dawn Rej and her husband, Rich, of Plymouth, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Casey and Ryan Accardi, Ruby, Nelson, Emma and Zoe Clark and Alex and Isaac Rej; three brothers, Steve Hindman and his wife, Hannah, of Seattle, Wash., Wayne Hindman and his wife, Lucia of Butler and John Hindman and his wife, Meg, of Bellingham, Wash.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne A. Hindman.

CAMPBELL — Friends of Constance J. “Connie” (Hindman) Campbell, who died Wednesday, July 27, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tim Goodman officiating.Private entombment will take place at the Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oak Hills Garden Club, 112 Forresta Drive, Butler, PA 16002, or VNA Hospice of Butler, PA, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.Online condolences can be given at www.thompson-miller.com.
