Dennis “Denny” Spithaler

Dennis “Denny” Spithaler, 67, of Evans City passed away Thursday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.

Born Aug. 6, 1948, in Butler, he was the son of the late Dorce Clayton and Mary Virginia (Young) Spithaler.

Denny had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed socializing at Evans City coffee shops over the years. As an outdoorsman, he liked hunting and fishing. He loved his children, grandchildren and his dog, Sadie. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons, Shawn and Clayton Spithaler, both of Evans City; his daughters, Rhonda (Spithaler) Dixon, Dawn (Spithaler) Padot and Tamara (Spithaler) Myers, all of Ocala, Fla.; his step-daughter, Crystal Huffman of Callery; his brother, Barry Spithaler of Franklin Park; his sister, Sandy Kennedy of Zelienople, and his 10 grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Ann (Jones) Spithaler.
