Crytzer homer lifts Freeport
Claire Crytzer hit a three-run home run in the top of the fifth inning of Freeport’s 5-3 softball win over host Deer Lakes on Thursday.
The Yellowjackets (7-1, 3-1) were getting shut out before the round-tripper.
Kristie Radvan was the winning pitcher, allowing three runs on nine hits in seven innings.

Dylan Hochbein broke a pair of school records in the 110- and 300-meter hurdles as the Freeport boys track team rolled to a 95-55 win.
Hochbein ran a time of 14.6 seconds in the 110 hurdles and a time of 39.2 in the 300 hurdles to set the marks.
In the girls 116-34 win, Zoe Pawlak won three events.
