Cynde L. Montgomery
Cynde L. Montgomery, 73, of Freeport passed away Saturday while in the company of family members at UPMC St. Margaret in Pittsburgh.
Cynde was born July 24, 1942, in Natrona Heights. She was the daughter of the late Gertrude M. (Costello) and Cecil F. Schreckengost.
She had worked in nursing for over 25 years. She had spent a number of years with the Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot and had also work for many years as a private duty nurse in the Freeport area and in Texas.
She had attended the Evangel Heights Assembly of God in Sarver. Cynde enjoyed baking, cooking, craft work and shooting pool and throwing darts with her friends. Her greatest love was spending time with her family.
She is survived by three children; her son, William “Buddy” Montgomery of Saxonburg; and her two daughters, Lori (Thomas) Reichard of Cabot and Robin (Joe) Gall Sr. of Saxonburg; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert (Goldie) Schreckengost of South Buffalo Township; and her two sisters, Helen Miller of Cheswick and Carol Clevenger of Kittanning.
Cynde is preceded in death by her son, Richard Montgomery; three grandchildren, John J “JJ” Gall, Joey Gall Jr. and Krystle Gall; four brothers, Donald, Cecil “Teddy,” Jim and Danny “Schrec” Schreckengost.
MONTGOMERY — Family and friends of Cynde L. Montgomery, who died Saturday, April 2, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Glenn Nagle, lay minister, officiating.
