Lois M. Lessner

Lois M. Lessner, 66, of Mars died Thursday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born Feb. 23, 1950, in Valley Stream, N.Y., she was the daughter of Mildred Magill Casella Stelter of Valencia and the late Nicholas Casella.

Lois was the safe environment coordinator for St. Kilian Church in Cranberry Township, where she was a longtime member. She also had been the deli manager at Mars IGA for many years.

Surviving are two daughters, Tracey Lessner of Cranberry Township and Denise Tabacchi and her husband, David, of Seven Fields; her son, Keith Lessner in New York City; her grandchildren, Gianna and Dante Tabacchi; her mother, Mildred Stelter of Valencia; her sister, Marilyn Fiordilino and her husband, Anthony, in New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David W. Lessner, who she married March 15, 1969, and who died Feb. 11, 2016.

LESSNER — Friends of Lois M. Lessner, who died Thursday, March 31, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 4 p.m. Monday at St. Kilian Church, corner of Clark and Cherry streets, Mars, with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating.Please meet at the church.Committal services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Savior Cemetery in Richland Township.Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of St. Kilian Church, 7076 Franklin Road, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.Directions and condolences are available at www.mcdonald-aeberli.com.
