Herman L. Maser

Herman L. Maser, 86, of Butler passed away Wednesday evening at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 31, 1929, in Butler, he was the son of the late Linn G. and Lela Stamm Maser.

He was a member of the New Testament Baptist Church in Butler.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Herman retired after 42 years working at the Butler Armco as a slitter operator and then an inspector.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, auto racing and leisure drives.

He is survived by his children, Larry L. (and his fiancee Cathy Jesteadt) Maser of Butler, Clyde L. (Jane) Maser of Butler and Irene E. Maser of Prospect; five grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois E. Maser, who passed away Feb. 19, 2015.

MASER — Visitation for Herman L. Maser, who died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.Funeral service will be private Saturday with interment at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.Memorial contributions may be made to Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels, c/o Carol Rinker, 475 Main St., Prospect, PA.For more information, go to www.raisleyfuneralhome.com.
