Norma Jean Coccari, 86, of Butler passed away peacefully Monday at her Butler home.

She was born Nov. 28, 1928, in Butler Township, the daughter of the late Richard E. and Laura E. (Gibson) Miller.

In her later years, the highlight of her life was remembering when she had attended Meridian Elementary.

Norma had worked as a supervisor for 20 years for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.

Surviving are her two daughters, Rebecca Tree of Cranesville, Pa., and Anita Stricklin of Butler; one grandson; several nieces and nephews; and her close friend, Cherie Freeland of Butler.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
