Shirlee J. “Punkie” Brown, 52, of Karns City passed away at 11:14 a.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Shirlee was born Sept. 7, 1962, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late William T. Brown and the late Norma Jean Hoff Brown.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Shirlee is survived by three sisters, Mrs. John (Deborah) Ealy, Mrs. Ronald (Lori) Ritzert and Sherri Brown, all of Karns City; one brother, William (Donna) Brown of Petrolia; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Shirlee was preceded in death by two brothers.

Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday.Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Monday with the Rev. John Pistorius of St. John's Reformed Church in Chicora officiating.
