Paul L. Langland, ex-township official
Paul L. Langland, 90, of Butler died Wednesday morning at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Feb. 6, 1925, in Butler, he was a son of the late John E. Langland and Lucy (Long-ville) Langland.
Paul worked for the Armco Steel Plant in Butler, retiring after 38 years. He served as a Butler Township Commissioner for 32 years, from 1974 to 2006.
He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church in Butler, and a past member of the American Legion Post 778 in Lyndora, the Highfield Community Center and the Butler Elks.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the European Theatre with the U.S. Army.
He was the beloved husband of Nell L. (Dugan) Langland, who he married Jan. 24, 1953.He was the devoted father of Therese (Francis) Inzana of Brockway, Lou Ann Rosellini of Butler and Michele (Alan) Stockard of Butler; brother of Leora Thompson of Butler; and loving grandfather of Jason (Rhonda) Inzana, Eric (Erin) Inzana, Ann Marie Inzana, Amanda (Jason) Adams, Andrea (Jake) Cuffman, Annie Rosellini and Austin Stockard.He also is survived by nine great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Langland; his son-in-law, Jaime Rosellini; his sisters-in-law, Sharon Dugan and Paula Forsyth; and brother-in-law, Steve Thompson.
LANGLAND — Friends of Paul L. Langland, who died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, will be received at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday in St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul R.C. Church, 128 N.
