Geraldine J. McWilliams

Geraldine J. McWilliams, 88, of Sarver passed away Thursday at the Life Care Hospital at Allegheny Valley Hospital.

Born on Sept. 10, 1926, in Bradenton, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Vernon S. Grimes and Florence Creighton Grimes.

Geraldine retired in 1992 as an assistant to the Butler County Register of Wills. She had also worked at the Butler County Humane Society.

Being a devout Catholic, she was a member of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers and the Bereavement Committee. She was also a member of the Saxonburg American Legion Ladies Auxilary.

She enjoyed her computer, genealogy, traveling and making and sending cards.

Surviving are her children, Charlotte McWilliams of Sarver, Cecil (Cathy) McWilliams III of Ft. Worth, Texas, Gerald L. (Louise) McWilliams of Monroe, Mich., Theresa (Kevin Hutchison) McWilliams of Pittsburgh and Beth McWilliams of Natrona; her brother, Joseph Grimes of Costa Mesa, Calif.; her four grandchildren, Broyionne, Gerald Jr., James and Matt; her six great-grandchildren; and her cat, Tiki.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil L. McWilliams Jr., on Nov. 14, 1999; her son, Mark McWilliams; her brother, Vernon Grimes; and her grandson, Eric.

McWilliams — There will be no visitation or services for Geraldine J. McWilliams, who passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015. Private family interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery in Herman.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 315 Stoney Hollow Road, Cabot, PA 16023.The Fox Funeral Homein Saxonburg assisted the family with arrangements.For more information, please visit www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
