Merry Ann (McCurdy) Harter

Merry Ann (McCurdy) Harter, 74, of Evans City passed away Monday in the comfort of her home.

Born on July 16, 1940, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Reed and Alma Regina (Emsheimer) McCurdy.

Merry Ann was a devoted housewife and member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed quilting, canning, and cooking for her family. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She is survived by her three children, Scott Matz and his wife, Lauren, of Renfrew, Kimberly Lynn Matz of Zelienople, and Todd Matz and his wife, Sabina, of Pleasanton, Calif.; her brother, Roger McCurdy and his wife, Maryann, of New Jersey, and her two granddaughters, Megan and Harley of Renfrew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willard D. Harter, who passed away on July 3, 2009, and her grandson, Bryan.

Harter — Services for Merry Ann (McCurdy) Harter, who died Monday, July 28, 2014, will be private for her family.Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E.
