Barry Perry

Barry M. Perry, 61, of Butler, formerly of Massena, N.Y., passed away Wednesday in the afternoon at the St. John's Specialty Care Center in Mars after a short illness.

Barry was born Oct. 9, 1952, in Massena, the son of the late Robert and Kathalene Ryan Perry.

He graduated from Massena High School and attended Canton ATC for a short time.

On Jan. 8, 1975, he entered the U.S. Army serving until his honorable discharge on Jan. 18, 1978.

Barry was an over-the-road tractor trailer driver for many years and also worked construction at one time. He truly enjoyed fishing, playing cards and was an avid movie watcher.

Barry is survived by his sisters, Beverly Robinson and her companion, Gordie Cross, of Louisville, N.Y., and Linda and Richard Reeves of Anderson, S.C.; his brother, Joseph P. and Leeanne Perry of Oswego, N.Y.; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Barry was predeceased by his brothers, David L. Perry on Feb. 4, 1988, and James A. Perry on March 18, 2006; and an infant sister, Judith Perry, in 1942.

PERRY — There will be no calling hours or funeral service for Barry M. Perry, who died Wednesday, June 4, 2014. A graveside service will be held later in the summer at Hopkinton-Fort Jackson Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the St. John's Specialty Care, Attn.
