Keep 5 in Center

Center Township residents have noticed the red and white political signs along the roadways asking voters to vote for three supervisors.

Believe me, township residents do not want to do that.

See, the person who signed the permit for those signs is Beverly Schenck, the lady who just sued the local volunteer fire company and township — the lady who tried to throw United Cerebral Palsy residents out of the township.

She said the township didn’t need the Texas Roadhouse and Garfield’s restaurants because they serve alcohol.

She also tried to keep landowners from harvesting their trees, and sold the water company without any bids.

In addition, she continues to cost township taxpayers thousands upon thousands of dollars in legal fees because of her my-way-or-the-highway mentality.

Recently, at a public township supervisors meeting, she was asked why she was suing the township and fire department. Her answer was “because I can.”

Is this the kind of person we want running our township, or pulling the strings for one of her cronies?

Her way got the township into a lot of trouble over the years. Yes, there were a few signers of her petition, but people were misled.

Township voters should do themselves a favor and keep five supervisors.
