ZELIENOPLE — The Strand Theater presents Pete Hewlett and The Hewlett-Anderson Band celebrating the music of John Lennon and Paul McCartney in concerts Feb. 10, 11 and 12.

The concerts scheduled for 8 p.m. Feb. 10 and 11 are filling up, so a 2 p.m. Feb. 12 show was added. All shows take place at the Strand, 119 N. Main St.

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Public Theater presents the 18th annual Shakespeare Monologue & Scene Contest.Students from the South Butler, Seneca Valley and Slippery Rock school districts will be among the 1,100 participants.Preliminary rounds will take place Friday through Feb. 10.The showcase of finalists begins at 7 p.m. Feb. 13. WORTHINGTON — The Armstrong Community Theater presents “ACTV Variety Show — Don't Touch That Dial!” at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16, 17 and 18 at the Worthington Civic Center, 218 E. Main St.This fundraiser variety show takes the audience through the effects of channel surfing throughout the last 50 years of television. PITTSBURGH — The Society for Contemporary Craft, 2100 Smallman St., opens “Transformation 8: Contemporary Works in Small Metals” on Friday.This biennial show features the work of 33 metalsmiths. The winning artist will be awarded $5,000.An opening reception is set for 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday.The exhibit continues through June. 30.Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays.
