Chucks upend Union, 20-6

Zach Traister rushed for 138 yards and threw a touchdown pass out of the Wildcat formation, but Union suffered a 20-6 football loss at Punxsutawney Friday night.

The game was scoreless at halftime, but the Chucks got on the board in the third quarter when Logan Weaver flipped a 5-yard touchdown pass to Zak Dickey.

The Golden Knights (2-7) responded with Traister's 4-yard scoring toss to Taylor Smith with 9:06 left in the game. Union went for a conversion pass to take the lead, but could not connect.

Punxsutawney scored a pair of touchdowns in the final three minutes to seal the victory.

Union hosts Clarion-Limestone next Friday and remains alive in the District 9 Class A playoff chase. Union quarterback Trent Corle was ejected from the Punxsutawney game and will not be available to play next week.

Redbank Valley 41, A-C Valley 0 — The Falcons (0-8) dropped their 39th consecutive game. No details were available.
