Nancy Lewis

Nancy Louise Lewis, 67, of Butler, passed away, Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 4, 1953, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Joseph Lewis and Katherine Alverda (Wagner) Lewis.

Nancy was a 1971 graduate of Butler High School and had a bachelors degree in sociology from Slippery Rock University, where she was a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. She had been a hospital volunteer and had worked for Easter Seals. As a teenager, Nancy had volunteered as a candy striper at Butler Hospital and had attended the Medallion Ball in Pittsburgh. Nancy enjoyed listening to rock music and painting. Nancy cherished her feline family, Puff and Dixie. She was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Paul Church in Butler.

Surviving are her sister, Patricia (George) Snyder; her brother, Regis (Debbie) Lewis; and her sister, Joan (Douglas) Bloom, as well as three nieces, one nephew, one great niece and two great nephews.

Lewis — A Mass of Christian Burial for Nancy Louise Lewis, who died Thursday, July 1, 2021, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 North McKean St., Butler.

Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Butler.
