Joseph Stahlman Jr.

Joseph Edwin Stahlman Jr., 68, of Slippery Rock passed away in the emergency room at AHN-Grove City on Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, due to natural causes.

He was born April 19, 1953, in Grove City, to Joseph Edwin Stahlman Sr. and Betty Faye Bell Stahlman.

Joe was employed at Slippery Rock University in the maintenance department, where he worked throughout the university doing maintenance and repairs.

Joe loved to fish and hike, and greatly enjoyed fellowship with family and friends, and making new friends.

He was a member and past master of F&AM Lodge 603 of Grove City, where he had been very active. Joe participated in leading many Masonic ceremonies for deceased Masons. He was active with the Zem Zem Clowns and the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Knights Templars.

Survivors include his daughter, Bobbie Baughman of Slippery Rock; his son, Joseph Paul (Trish) Stahlman of Sharon, Pa.; two sisters, Melissa (Dan) Truman of Slippery Rock and Melanie (Sean) McGurr of Ohio; his two brothers, Jeff Stahlman of Volant and Jay (Robin) Stahlman of Slippery Rock; and his grandchildren, Lindsay E. Stahlman, Tanner S. Stahlman and Wyatt S. Baughman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Melba Tomeo.

STAHLMAN — The family of Joseph Edwin Stahlman Jr., who died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, will hold a celebration of life gathering in his memory at a later time where Masonic funeral rites will also be observed.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, Slippery Rock.

Memorial contributions may be given to the donor's choice.
