Fox News' Gutfeld coming to county
“Live & in person! Not a movie!” is how Fox News personality, political satirist and author Greg Gutfeld's coming appearance in Butler County is being touted.
The 56-year-old host of “The Greg Gutfeld Show” and co-host of “The Five” will be at the Starlight Drive-In on Route 8 in Center Township for a comedy show at 7 p.m. Oct. 25
Joining Gutfeld will be friend and stand-up comedian Tom Shillue, a regular on his popular Saturday night show on Fox. The two will deliver a humorous take on the big issues of the day in the worlds of politics and pop culture.
A New York Times best-selling author, Gutfeld also will discuss his latest book, “The Plus: Self-Help for People Who Hate Self-Help.”
Tickets for the Starlight Drive-in show are on sale. Pittsburgh-based Drusky Entertainment is promoting the show and selling tickets through its website. Owner Brian Drusky did not immediately return a telephone call Thursday.
Doors for the event will open at 5 p.m.
Starlight co-owner John Manson noted that COVID-19 restrictions will be enforced, including the condition that facemasks be worn by anyone out of their vehicle for any reason, other than the space in front of the vehicle.
He said that temperatures will be taken of everyone entering the facility, and for social-distancing reasons, restroom access will be limited. Restrooms will be disinfected every 30 minutes.
Social distancing will also be in place for cars, with one vehicle every other space.
“We can fit up to about 350 cars,” Manson said.
The Starlight was one of more than a dozen plaintiffs that recently prevailed in a federal lawsuit against Gov. Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine over the governor's business and stay-at-home orders and restrictions on gatherings in wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
