David Lee Addleman
David Lee Addleman, 81, of Cabot, went home to be with the Lord Thursday after a brief illness at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Born March 18, 1935, in Mount Pleasant, Pa., he was the son of the late Charles W. and Esther L. (Keating) Addleman.
He was a 1954 graduate of Emlenton High School. On July 2, 1955, he married the former Joann McNany of Emlenton. He lived for many years in Scrubgrass Township, Emlenton, and later in Franklin before moving to Cabot.
A 20-year veteran of the United States Navy, he retired as a master chief operations specialist with the grade of E-9. Serving through the Vietnam War, he had earned numerous awards which included five Good Conduct Awards, the Navy Achievement Award and the Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal. After his time in the Navy, he later retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in 1996.
David enjoyed traveling and researching his family genealogy. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife, Joann; their daughter, Cynthia (Joseph) Painter of Callensburg and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Lee Addleman, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
ADDLEMAN — At the request of David Lee Addleman, who died Thursday, June 9, 2016, there will be no visitation.A private funeral service will be conducted for the immediate family. Interment will be held in the Big Bend Cemetery.Arrangements are at the direction of the H.
