Robert Reichart
Robert Lloyd Reichart, 84, of East Brady went home to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, peacefully at his home.
Born May 21, 1937, in West Monterey, he was the son of Watson M. and Helen E. (McKee) Reichart.
On Aug. 17, 1957, Bob married the love of his life, the former Gloria A. Beabout. She preceded him in death on Feb. 22, 2019.
A 1955 graduate of Union High School, Bob was a boilermaker for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, U.S. Steel in Saxonburg and U.S. Steel in Braddock.
Bob was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of East Brady, where he was a church elder and sang in the choir. For many years, he was the caretaker for the building and grounds.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar and spending time with his grandchildren.
Bob served on East Brady Council, was an EMT with East Brady Ambulance and was a square dance caller for 50 years. He took pride in his home and enjoyed yard work. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, who will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by four children, Kimberly A. Overly and her husband, Daniel, of Karns City, Timothy L. Reichart and his wife, Kathy, of State College, Kelly J. Scholl and her husband, Michael, of Adrian and Jennie L. Montebell and her husband, Larry, of Kittanning.
He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Danielle, Brady, Jenna, Jared, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Lauren, Emily, Elena, Mitchel, Nathan and Tristan; eight great-grandchildren, Luke, Ella, Avelyn, Maxton, Hailey, Madelyn, Colton, Mila; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gloria; and two sisters, Louise George and Eunice Bowser.
REICHART — Friends of Robert Lloyd Reichart, who died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, East Brady, with funeral services following at 11 a.m. The Rev. Raymond Eichler will officiate.
Private burial will follow in Rimersburg Cemetery.
