William Claypoole
William “Jake” Claypoole, 57, of Whiskerville, Pa., passed away Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Jake was born June 14, 1964, in Butler. He was the son of the late Elmer “Peach” Claypoole and Geraldine Pisor Claypoole.
Jake was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and was employed as a mechanic at various locations over the years.
In addition to his mother, Geraldine of Petrolia, Jake is survived by two daughters, Cassandra (Kurtis) Hulings of Greenwood, Ind., and Julie (Joshua)Payne of North Washington, Pa.; two sons, David (Edith) Claypoole of Eau Claire, and Benjamin Claypoole of Whiskerville, Pa.; and 11 grandchildren.
Also surviving are four sisters, Anna Page of Hilliards, Nancy Blair of Petrolia, Barbara (Bill) Gallagher of Boyers, and Beverly (Bud) Anthony of Karns City; one brother, John (Sis) Claypoole of Whiskerville, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Jake was preceded in death by his father, Elmer; and his wife, Beverly D. Claypoole, who died Aug. 29, 2015.
CLAYPOOLE — The family of William “Jake” Claypoole, who died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
Services will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Bob Edmundson officiating.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the funeral home to help defray the funeral expenses.
