Hunter Scott

Hunter A. L. Scott, 21, of Fairview, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, 2021, at his home.

Hunter was born Feb. 1, 2000, in Butler. He was the son of Emily J. Wiles Hutchison and the stepson of the late Scott Hutchison, who raised him, and the son of Larry Scott of Butler.

Hunter was a 2019 graduate of Karns City Area High School.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman. He enjoyed dirt bike racing and the company of his family and friends.

He had been employed at Shields Asphalt in Bakerstown.

In addition to his mother and father, Hunter is survived by his brother, Mogan D. Scott, and his wife, Gerrica, of Cabot; his sister, Danica F. Scott of Petrolia; his nieces and nephew, Caydence, Kendel, Chloe and Kamdyn; his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Faye Claypoole of Petrolia; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In addition to his stepfather, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Lois Wiles.

SCOTT — Friends of Hunter A. L. Scott, who died Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Hile Funeral Home of Karns City, 128 Main St., Karns City.

A funeral service will follow 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Thompson, pastor of the Martinsburg Church of Bruin, officiating.

Interment will be in Rosewood Cemetery, Ridgeville.
