Hoop coach wins 1,200th game
SEDALIA, Mo. — Gene Bess became the first college basketball coach to reach 1,200 victories, directing Three Rivers Community College to a 91-51 victory over State Fair on Thursday night.
The 79-year-old Bess is 1,200-349 in 45 seasons at the Poplar Bluff school.
