BC3 women net 1st victory

Moniteau High School graduate Ashley Brehm scored 26 points and Butler High product Lauren Bresnahan had 14 points and 15 rebounds as the Butler County Community College women’s basketball team earned its first win of the season, a 56-32 home decision over Pitt-Titusville on Wednesday.

The Pioneers are now 1-15 overall and 1-2 in conference games.

Seton Hill 69, Slippery Rock 55 — The Rock dropped to 6-9 overall and 2-9 in conference games with this road loss.

D’Asia Chambers had a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds for The Rock while Taylor Siggers and Megan Hardiman both had eight points.

Men’s BasketballAustin Miller contributed 22 points and six steals to BC3’s 88-69 triumph over Pitt-Titusville.Alex Alvarez led the Pioneers (6-9, 2-1) with 23 points, Shae Stobert had 13 points and Dom Pusateri 19 points and 10 assists.Seton Hill 86, Slippery Rock 82 (2OT) — The Rock shot 36.6 percent from the field during a double-overtime PSAC-West Division loss in Greensburg.SRU (12-5, 7-4) rallied from an 18-point second-half deficit, but couldn’t steal a win.Kelvin Goodwin scored a career-high 38 points for The Rock and Antonio Butler had a double-double, scoring 21 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
