Alex Alvarez poured in 44 points and had 20 rebounds to lift the Butler County Community College men’s basketball team to a 99-65 win at Westmoreland County Community College on Wednesday.

The Pioneers (8-10, 4-2) also received a strong game from Austin Miller (20 points). Shae Stobert scored 12 points and had eight of BC3’s 30 assists.

Women’s Basketball

Despite 28 points, 10 rebounds and five assists from Ashley Brehm, BC3 dropped an 86-51 decision to WCCC.

Lauren Bresnahan tallied nine points and 14 boards for the Pioneers (1-16, 1-3).
