GOLF, Ill. — A Mars High School student has won a four-year full tuition scholarship to Penn State University through the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship.

Casey Parrish of Valencia entered through the Pittsburgh Field Club.

Evans Scholars are golf caddies who were selected based on four criteria: a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character. Recipients were chosen after interviews with candidates at a March selection meeting hosted by the Western Golf Association, along with the Western Pennsylvania Golf Association.

The WGA, headquartered in Golf, Ill., has sponsored the Chick Evans Scholarship Program through the Evans Scholars Foundation since 1930.
