George Jr. students will display their art

GROVE CITY — The George Junior Republic Art2O Program will display works of art from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the campus Resource Center.

Works will be available by silent auction.

The Art2O program was started in September as a fine arts program. The goal of the program is to provide an after-school and evening opportunity for youth to explore various arts and media.

Students work on projects and exercises that will help develop visual perception, visual spatial organization and visual discrimination.

Individual and group projects also challenge their creative thinking.

Recently, the Art2O program partnered with the Grace United Methodist Church Youth Group in a Bread and Soup supper to benefit the food pantry.

Art2O students made bowls for diners to take home in appreciation for their support. More than $1,200 was raised by the combined effort.
