Students named junior fire marshals
The Butler Township Fire Marshal's office conducted a poster contest for Fire Prevention Week.
The contest included students in kindergarten through sixth grade at McQuistion, Meridian and Northwest elementary schools.
A student from each grade was awarded a trophy for best poster. A name was drawn for the Junior Fire Marshal from kindergarten through third grade and one from fourth through sixth grade. McQuistion Elementary was awarded the traveling trophy for highest participation.
On April 14, Junior Fire Marshals Cordray Negley and Zoey Povlick accompanied Butler Township Fire Marshal Larry Christy on his duties.
The marshals were treated to lunch at CiCi's Pizza.
