3 part series looks at special education
The Parent Education & Advocacy Leadership Center will have information sessions about children who receive special education.
This three-part series, "Beginning with the End in Mind," will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 29, Oct. 27. and Nov. 24 at the Family First Resource Center, 216 N. Washington St.
These free workshops are for families, caregivers and educators who provide support for children receiving special education services. It covers topics such as developing a strong individualized education plan and working effectively with school teams, and a clinic where parents can discuss their child's services and support with PEAL parent advisers.
The PEAL Center, established in 2005, is the federally-funded parent training and information center serving central and Western Pennsylvania.
