Maxine Testi List, 87, of Riverside, Calif., formerly of Butler, passed away Jan. 1, 2022, after a brief illness.

She was born on July 28, 1934, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Renato “Sheik” Testi and the late Kathryn Niles.

She graduated from Butler High School in 1952.

She was married to William List for 61 years, until his death in 2016.

She was also preceded in death by her sister, Kay Testi.

Maxine was an active member of Bethany United Church of Christ before moving to Hemet, Calif., in 1987. She continued to be active in the church, along with becoming a devoted Los Angeles Angels fan.

She was a graduate of Butler County Community College.

She was a voracious reader all of her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Lori Gallagher and her husband, James; her son, Douglas List and his wife, Jessica; her grandchildren, Courtney Morales and Dylan Gallagher; her great-granddaughter, Scarlett Morales; and a cousin, Sandra Bachman of Fenelton.
