Jason Sutton

Jason Sutton of Butler recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in physics from The Citadel. Awards during his college career included an Army ROTCScholarship, Gold Star Dean's List, Military Officers of America Award. He was also co-author of "For Chemically and Magnetically Peculiar Stars.Sutton is employed by the Army National Guard. Following training at Warrior Forge in Fort Lewis, Wash., he will be commissioned as a second lieutenant. He will then be assigned to Johnstown Army National Guard and will train to become an Apache helicopter pilot.Sutton is the son of Timothy Sutton of Butler and Connie Gaiser of Kittanning.—-

The following students received degrees during commencement exercises at Lock Haven University:<B>Amber Long</B> of Butler, <B>Stephanie Schiebel</B> of Butler, <B>Ashley Riemer</B> of Cabot, <B>Matthew Kundrod</B> of Mars, <B>Michael Novotny </B>of Saxonburg

<B>Laurel Mathias</B> of West Sunbury recently graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University. Her memberships included Tau Beta Pi, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Society of Women Engineers.She plans to begin working as a process engineer at Solvay Advanced Polymers in Marietta, Ohio, in July.Mathias is a 2004 graduate of Moniteau High School and is the daughter of Robert and Ione Mathias of West Sunbury.—-

<B>Jocelyn Kerr </B>of Butler recently graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in sociology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.She will begin working as a background investigator for Kroll Government Services in Los Angeles.Kerr is a 2005 graduate of Butler High School and is the daughter of George and Catherine Kerr.—-<BR></BR><BR></BR><BR></BR>

<B>Mandy Young</B> of Butler recently graduated cum laude with a doctor of pharmacy degree from Duquesne University. She was a member of Rho Chi honors society, was president of Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, was a class officer and the recipient of the Zada M. Cooper National Scholarship.Young will work as a pharmacy resident at the Louis Stokes Veterans Affairs in Cleveland.She is a 2002 graduate of Butler High School and is the daughter of Jim and Linda Young of Butler.—-<BR></BR><BR></BR><BR></BR>

<B>Autumn Pollock </B>of Slippery Rock recently graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor's degree in psychology.Pollock was named on the dean's list for four years, was a two-time Dean's Stars student and was inducted into the following societies: Phi Eta Sigma, Psi Chi, Golden Key International Honour Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the National Residence Hall Honorary.She plans to continue her education at Chatham University Graduate School in Pittsburgh to pursue a master's degree in counseling psychology.—-<BR></BR><BR></BR><BR></BR>

<B>Kami Mahood</B> recently graduated from Duquesne University with a bachelor's degree in business administration and marketing.She has worked at Burt Hill in Butler since 1999 and has recently been promoted to Associate as a marketing coordinator.Mahood is a 1997 graduate of Karns City High School and a 1999 graduate of Butler County Community College.

<B>Jordan Radaker</B>, son of John Pollock and Gloria Corsini Pollock of Butler and Joe Radaker of Pinellas Park, Fla., recently graduated from Edinboro University. While a student, Radaker was frequently named on the dean's list.Radaker majored in elementary education. Upon graduation, Radaker moved to Falmouth, Maine, to pursue his career. In 2009, Radaker will enroll at the University of Maine to earn his master's degree in preelementary education.—-
