[naviga:h3]Genealogy Club to meet March 27[/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Genealogy Club will host a presentation on U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services next week.

The presentation, which begins at 6:30 p.m. March 27 in the Cranberry Public Library, will wade through the alphabet soup of the five record sets the U.S. Citizenship & Immigration Services has to find where recent immigrant ancestors might be hiding. The lecture mainly applies to 20th century immigrants.

The presenter will be Rich Venezia, a New Jersey native who now calls Pittsburgh home. He founded Rich Roots Genealogy in 2013. He was a member of the research team of “Genealogy Roadshow” on PBS for two seasons, and also consulted on “Follow Your Past” on Travel Channel.

[naviga:h3]Cranberry manager hosts meetings[/naviga:h3]

CRANBERRY TWP — During two successive monthly Coffee and Conversation get-togethers, township manager Jerry Andree will be joined by Dan Santoro, assistant township manager, and Ron Henshaw, planning and development services director, to discuss the municipality’s development tools and strategies.

At 6:30 p.m. March 28, the talk will focus on the planning process and how planning serves as the foundation for land-use regulation.

At 6:30 p.m. April 30, the discussion will center around one of the township’s zoning of land use and resulting land development ordinances.

Both gatherings will take place in council chambers. All are welcome and no advance reservations are needed.
