Two vehicles crash at intersection
SUMMIT TWP - Paramedics were close on hand when two vehicles collided at the intersection of routes 68 and 38 this afternoon. They witnessed the collision.
Trooper Jessica Clouse said the crash happened at about 12:30.
Then, an elderly couple in a white Chevy car was traveling north on 68 at the intersection when a blue-grey Honda, which was traveling south on 68,attempted to make a left turn. The two collided.
Both vehicles had damage to the front ends.
The woman in the white car reported chest pain. The man, also in the white car, had a small abrasion. And the woman in the Honda complained of neck pain.
Traffic was directed around the accident until the intersection was cleared.
Although the injuries were described as minor, at least one person was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
“Unfortunately, it happens here a lot,” Clouse said.
