Christopher J. Ott
Christopher J. “Chris” Ott, 56, of Butler, passed away from COVID-19 on Jan. 3, 2022, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Feb. 27, 1965, in Butler, to Clyde Ott and Joyce Hughes Ott.
Chris worked as a plant manager at Marburger Dairy Farm. He also worked for Millerstown Pic-A-Part, D&D Auto Salvage and DuBrook.
Chris enjoyed collecting guns, working with metal as he had his own forge, and he appreciated art. He collected motorcycles, and was currently restoring an old VW Squareback.
Chris took pleasure in kayaking with his family at Glade Mill Lake and Moraine State Park. He was an all-around funny guy and loved to make people laugh.
Chris is survived by his wife, Jane Foster Ott, whom he married on June 27, 1987; one son, Samuel Ott of Butler; two daughters, Dana (Jakob) Heckert of Butler, and Meadow Ott of Butler; one brother, Frank (Barb) Ott of Cranberry Township; one sister, Jennifer (Mike) Zehmisch of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
OTT — Friends of Christopher J. “Chris” Ott, who died Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Life Christian Ministries, 139 Knoch Road, Saxonburg, with Pastor Chris Marshall officiating.
