Raymond Nowak
Raymond Philip Nowak, 73, of Cranberry Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, at home.
Born Oct. 2, 1948, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Philip Andrew Nowak and Agnes Pudis Nowak.
Ray was a faithful member of St. Ferdinand Catholic Church of Cranberry Township.He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.Ray was employed with Allegheny Pipe and Supply of Coraopolis for over 40 years. During his retirement, he worked for the U.S. Census from 2019 to 2020.Ray enjoyed landscaping, both with his own yard and helping the neighbors with their yardwork. He enjoyed the outdoors and the beach. Ray also loved being “Pop Pop” to his grandchildren.He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and friends.Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 38 years, Catherine Coennen Nowak, whom he married Oct. 1, 1983; his sons, Kevin Nowak of Columbus, Ohio, and Andrew (Katelyn) Nowak of Verona, Pa.; his grandchildren, Lily and Jasper; his brother, Bernie (Judy Karlovitz) Nowak of Bellevue; his nieces, Jeanine, Angie, Bobbie, and their spouses; his great-nieces and great-nephews; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his sister, Jeannie Mastromatteo and her husband, Tim.NOWAK — Friends of Raymond Philip Nowak, who died Monday, Jan. 3, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.Attendees are encouraged to wear masks.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, 2535 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church.Ray will be laid to rest with full military honors at Holy Savior Cemetery in Pine Township.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, P.O.
