In loving memory of our beloved Michael Schoeffel whose birthday is February 11, 1999 - December 18, 2013.

Michael, you were our first great-grandson,

We have tried to figure out the “why” of what has been done.

You wrapped yourself right around our hearts,

We miss you since we have had to part.

You probably don’t remember, you have one sister and one brother,

You were loved by many, especially by your grandmother.

Grammy and Shawn took you fishing, camping and car races,

You laughed and had fun, life you embraced.

Michael, you loved all sports but your special likes,

Were racing, quad riding and dirt bikes.

You loved the Pirate games that Grammy and Shawn took you to,

They loved taking you places because they loved you.

Grammy used to take you fishing on the first day of trout,

And Michael, you also loved being a Boy Scout.

You liked video games but loved the outdoors and sports,

Too bad when needed, you didn’t get more family support.

I’m sorry your great- grandparents lived so far away.

We didn’t get to know you very well but we loved you anyway.

Michael, you didn’t get to celebrate your fifteenth birthday,

Your family loves and misses you a lot since God took you away.
