Warren L. Schoeffel, 64, of Butler, formerly of Connoquenessing, was called to be with the Lord on Sunday.

He was born on Jan. 17, 1951, in Grove City, the son of Thelma Fehl Schoeffel of Butler and the late Kenneth Anthony Schoeffel.

He graduated from Butler High School in 1970 then went on to Tech School for welding.

He entered the U.S. Marines, serving in Okinawa and California before he was medically retired.

After retiring, he went back to school to be a dental technician and worked for dentists in New Castle and Butler. He was also employed by Trader Horn for several years.

He spent his last years at Colonial Garden Rest Home in Butler, making other people happy with his kindness.

Surviving are his mother, Thelma J. Schoeffel of Butler; his daughter, Jolene Schoeffel of Butler; his son, Marvin A. (Cheryl) Schoeffel of Boyers; his sister, ValJean (Michael) Coyle of Butler; his eight grandchildren, Ryan, Rusty, Rebecca, Kyle, Peyton, Brandon, Lukas and Arrianna; and his two nephews, Michael (Cindy) Kamerer of Butler and Shane (Erin) Kamerer of Enon Valley.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Schoeffel.

Schoeffel — The friends of Warren L. Schoeffel, who passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, will be received from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Young Funeral Home, 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, with the Pastor William B. Henry Jr., interim pastor of the St. Peters Lutheran Church in Evans City, officiating.
