Bowling benefits Autism SpeaksThere will be a bowl-athon fundraiser from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday at Family Bowlaway Fun Center, 540 Fairground Hill Road.Proceeds will be donated to Autism Speaks on behalf of two brothers with autism.The admission fee will include three hours of bowling, shoe rental and unlimited soft drinks.For more information, call Cristal Elder at 724-282-4650.

Church bake sale, vendor show setSt. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., will host a vendor show and bake sale from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 5.The women’s council will sell homemade pumpkin rolls, and there will be a dozen vendors. Bake sale proceeds help fund the funeral luncheon program.

Old Home Day planned at centerLANCASTER TWP — The Middle Lancaster Historical Records Committee will sponsor the 17th Old Home Day from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Lancaster Township Community Center, 113 Kings Alley, Harmony.Ruth Werner will present “A Talk Down Memory Lane” at 2 p.m. Werner is a longtime township resident, former auditor, scout leader, 4-H leader and past president of the Harmony Historical Society. Visitors can view historical photos and school and church records as well as information about barns of the area and civil war heroes.

Fair trade sale will aid schoolMIDDLESEX TWP — Holy Sepulcher Roman Catholic Church’s Mission Group will host its eighth annual fair trade market and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Holy Sepulcher Catholic School cafeteria, 1304 E. Harmony site of Christmas marketHARMONY — The Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., will have its WeihnachtsMarkt German-style Christmas market from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 12 and from noon to 4 p.m. Nov. 13.The market will feature vendors, German entertainment and food.Proceeds support museum operations.Visitors also can observe volunteer quilters, spinners and weavers at work and sample regionally-produced wine and whiskey.

VFD hosts craft, gift showPROSPECT — The Prospect Borough/Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Department will host a fall craft and gift sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Prospect Fire Hall, 373 Main St.There will be a basket auction, 50/50 raffle and food at the event.
