SV names new principal for Haine Middle School
JACKSON TWP — Seneca Valley School Board announced Monday that a new face will be walking the halls as Erin Mazer assumes her newly-appointed role as principal of Haine Middle School.
“I am extremely honored to have the opportunity to serve students, parents, and staff as the new Principal of Haine Middle School,” Mazer said. “I look forward to building upon the wonderful traditions of excellence both in and out of the classroom.”
Haine's current principal, Cassandra Doggrell, was recently hired to fill an administrative position in the Upper St. Clair School District, south of Pittsburgh. In her stead, the board appointed Mazer, current assistant principal for the intermediate high school.
Mazer began at the intermediate high school in 2017, following school administrative and academy coordination experience at the Montgomery Public School district in Rockville, Md.
Mazer, who lives in Cranberry Township, is currently completing her doctoral degree in educational leadership at the University of Pittsburgh, having received a master's in that field from Hood College in Frederick, Md., and a bachelor's degree in biology education from Penn State University.
